HAF Play Scheme Please read the below carefully.

FREE Fun Activities and lunch for all children!!

The Christmas scheme will be delivered by Broseley Town Council, and places will be funded from Shropshire Council’s HAF Scheme.

The Scheme will be held within the Birchmeadow Centre on 21, 22, 28 and 29 December 2023 between 9-1pm.

For Primary School Children aged 5 -11, Children MUST be in year 1 to attend, reception children will not be accepted.

Online Booking System

Broseley Town Council will be monitoring all incoming booking requests through the Town Council website which will get collated and approved for eligibility. Whilst we would love to be able to accommodate everyone’s preferred days to attend, we may have to reduce the amount of days we can offer you to ensure that all children  can access the Play Scheme.

HAF Eligible Children –  All eligible families will be given an information leaflet which will include a code via their school or professional you are working with.

No internet? Just visit your local library with your booking code and a member of staff will be able to complete the online booking for you.

Some days may have a much higher volume of children wishing to attend, if you request dates in addition to those you have been allocated you will be placed on to a waiting list and will be informed should a space become available.

Please do not arrive on dates that have not been allocated to you as we will not be able to sign your child in and allow them to participate.

Please see below a little more info about the sessions:

Sessions will have a variety of activities each day including crafts, games, sports, an interactive presentation and much more.

Pick Up/ Drop off: Parents or another appropriate guardian over the age of 18 will need to arrive to sign your child/children in on arrival at the play scheme.

Please arrive on time to sign your child/children out at the end of the session.

Please be aware that for safeguarding reasons your child/children will be unable to sign themselves in or out.

Suggestions for your child/children whilst at play scheme:

  • Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated
  • Wear clothes that are ok to get a bit messy during craft time
  • If the weather isn’t too great, bring a rain jacket – we may still explore outside a little even if it’s raining
  • Leave valuables at home – there will be plenty to do so there is no need to bring any devices or items of value to the play scheme. Phones or tablet devices will not be permitted to be used by children during the session.

Cancellations:

As spaces are limited and all spaces are funded, please do let us know as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend a session so that we can offer the available place to a child on our waiting list.

If you have any questions about eligibility for the scheme please e-mail: admin@broseley-tc.gov.uk

If you have any questions about activities at the play scheme or any further information that you wish our leaders to know about your child such as specific needs or anything you feel might help us to make our child comfortable whilst with us, please email: admin@broseley-tc.gov.uk
